Fulfilling a lifelong passion for animals
and taking photographs, I began Photos by Beverly in 1983 when I wanted to become more involved in the field of
equine photography.
Having shown my horses in English and Western disciplines for many years, I decided to spend
more time behind the camera than in the saddle. In 2002 I began "Ears Up Photos"
which concentrates on the animal side of my photography and includes graphic
art, background replacement and advertising. My lifelong involvement with horses and dogs has helped
me to create
an "eye" for photographing them and is demonstrated in my numerous
award-winning photographs and my timing for action photography.

Along with being published in several national and international magazines for
stock dog enthusiasts, my images for stallion promotions have been published in
The Quarter Horse Journal, The Paint Horse Journal, The Appaloosa Journal, the
2003 and 2004 AQHA Stallion Calendars, ads for the AQHA World Show, the Nevada Paint Horse Club Directories
and on the covers of the 2001/2002 and 2007/2008 telephone books for Churchill County, Nevada –
circulation over 20,000.
A horse show and event photographer
in California and Nevada from 1983 -
2002, I honed my skills for action photography in the
riding disciplines. Breeding, training, photographing and showing Paints and Quarter
Horses for over 30 years have contributed to the development of a God-given
gift of timing. Breeding and training Border Collies and being involved with
sheepdog trialing as a competitor and photographer have also added to my skills
for timing and composition. I am available for stock image sales and
private portraiture in California, Nevada and surrounding states.
